  • I am an Associate at PwC. My daily tasks include tests of detail on financial statements of companies. I will interact with other members of the audit team when I need help on a specific area or some extra input. I also interact with the client in order to get any information I need and discuss other matters. I am responsible for specific FSLIs on the audit and take responsibility of these.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well structred. We were given training before starting placement and had a few admin days at the beginning in order for us to be fully prepared. We were assigned a people manager and a buddy to ensure I had full support. I also had frequent meetings with my people manager to discuss my progress etc. Tasks were delegated to me so that I know exactly what I needed to do on each job and other team members, even ones at a higher level, were always very helpful and eager to help.

  • I had a lot of support, with it being my first ever placement and managers and other team members were very keen to coach me and make sure I was comfortable and knew what to do. • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • The company holds a lot of socials and other sporting activities, which help you connect with other members of the firm even more. They also help a lot with charity and get everyone involved which makes you feel like you are helping the community. The location also means that there are lots of opportunities to do everything when not at work. They also offer flexible working which meant that I could work where was most convenient and useful when not on client site.
