Completing Tax Returns for a range of clients and ensuring that their tax payments are correct and paid on time.
Dealing with HMRC and understanding the different facets of the tax system.
I enjoy it very much and look forward to carrying on forward with the programme.
I feel like a genuine part of the team and that my work aids with the smooth-running of my department.
The programme is based around working and gaining a wide-range of experience whilst also going to college and studying for my exams.
I receive a lot of support, my exams and study are monitored and help is always available if required.
Smith and Williamson provides support in every area of my job, from study and exam support as mentioned, to support in understanding the finer details of what it is our department does.
As with any job the pay could always be higher but as a starting salary and with lots of room for progression within a relatively short timescale this programme allows me to live comfortably for the time-being.
Yes, ranging from social experiences to business networking. The programme and company as a whole is very helpful in ensuring all employees want to be more involved with work outside of the normal hours.

The opportunities provided by Smith and Williamson are numerous and unlike other firms there is a community atmosphere with every level of employee respected and involved in the development of the firm as a whole.
Research before you apply! Make sure you can engage whomever interviews you about the area you are looking to work in. You should also research and fully understand what sets Smith and Williamson apart from other firms in the marketplace, namely that it aims to form lasting relationships with clients and help grow with them over a long period of time.
