  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a business administration apprentice working in the Citroën digital marketing department. Some of my daily tasks are, reviewing and approving the Citroën social media posts. This can be checking gramatically but also that it makes sense and reads correctly for the audience. I also look at which posts we think should have spend allocated and then set this up with an external media agency. I also look through the Citroën website checking everythig works and also build pages using either internal departments information or information which comes from the Paris headoffice.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt and continue to learn many things whilst working in my department. These range from things such as SEO and digital termanology and how to build certain web pages and how to make them rank highly on google. I am also learning more about the business environment such as what different departments do and how they all work together. I think doing my A-Levels before hand meant I knew some of the apprenticeship qualification questions already based on my previous A-Level knowledge.

  • I feel very valued by the company. When sending my work to my line manager he is very appreciative and gives feedback on how I can improve and this shows he wants me to develop and get better. My line manager also involves me in discussions, has an interest in what I do in and out of work and always makes sure I am doing okay which is really good. I am kept involved in projects which are ongoing and I am aware of any projects the team are involved in even if I am not.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured with regular catch ups with the HR department. Within the induction it was clear who we should contact in regards to any problems we might have and any support we might need. Me and my line manager have a good system of how he wants to delegate work to me by sending me an email with the work on and a description of what to do or he will tell me in our weekly catch up.
