  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I was a production intern for the Gorjys Music Festival. My day-to-day roles varied. In the weeks before the event, I would be preparing materials that we will need as well as getting in touch with the directors. Several days before the event, I went and stayed at the venue. I put up signs and tried to get the venue festival ready. I prepared packs for guests and artists. Then I helped makeshift a dressing room and production office and organise a system to bring artists and performers around, get them what they need and where they need to be while protecting their privacy. On the day I welcomed artists, checked them in, gave them a tour and took them to the dressing rooms and backstage.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was relatively structured but it was also a role that was ever changing from day to day depending on what was needed on that day. However, I was rarely confused and was always able to contact my superiors and clarify any uncertainties very easily. Task delegation was really good and everyone was doing their best.
