I have been with Scottish power on a testing role since I started the apprenticeship scheme, I am a Smart Meter Tester and Co-ordinator, Executing test scripts and verifying results on the smart meters. co-ordinating with ScottishPower and third parties regarding issues found and then drive forward to resolution. Applying business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives. Ensuring all testing results are easily accessible and understandable and lastly, tracking defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date.

I have learnt many skills within the role. I have learnt how to communicate with clients, learnt the Smart metering industry.

I have a very well balanced team, they help me do my job better by giving me feedback. They help me to reach my potential. i enjoy it a lot as they treat me like a colleague and not an apprentice.
