  • Cyber Intrusion Analyst - Behaviours Building Reconnaissance - Social Media & Web Analysis Phishing Email Campaigns Unauthorised Software Campaigns Employee internal behaviours & external behaviours Daily work consist of going on meeting calls, working on security behaviour projects, creating presentations and other documents. University is block release so you do an exam every time you go to university for a week.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Have developed my cyber security knowledge as a whole. Have learnt about security behaviours and cultures and the thought process of attackers attacking BT.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much am enjoying the programme. It is also important to note that this is my first proper experience of the world of work which I think BT really helps support you settle in.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BT?
  • I feel very valued in my current team as they give me good recognition for the work I do. I do however believe the annual performance system BT has focus's to much on what you haven't done than what you have.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Good support from BT (Managers, Colleagues, Coaches, Etc) Should of started the NVQ qualification 6 months ago.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Have not needed any support from my training provider as of yet but they have stated they are there to support any time.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Get a lot of support, especially from managers and apprentice coach. You can message anyone in the company to support you.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Decent salary for an apprentice. However office is located in one of the most expensive areas in the UK, making it hard to find places to rent and costs me thousands on a train ticket each year.

  • There are many opportunities to do work in schools, charity work and go abroad to work.

  • 9. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Good place to work, they pay for all your training and qualifications (degree). There is also opportunities to go work in other countries.

  • Remember the 3 values: - Personal - Simple - Brilliant
