  • supporting the laboratories making sure all computer related issues are resolved

  • Learnt many new skills in everything from technical support to network based issues. I'm also being sent on multiple training courses to boost knowledge on various computer subject matter

  • The Workload is manageable and I'm constantly learning. The work space is friendly and everyone supports each other.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by GSK?
  • constant support for both normal work and course work. Regular PDP and performance reviews/ catch ups to ensure everything is good in terms of work load and any personal issues an employee may have. Recognition from leadership teams when noteworthy tasks or projects have been carried out/ completed.

  • Very well organised

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Monthly meetings and if needed instant contact within the day to resolve any issues usually via a Skype call or email.

  • Huge amounts from everything like workload to the actual coursework as well.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Reasonable pay for our age and the jobs that we do. Especially when you consider the course costs of both the foundation degree and the level 4 qualification.

  • multiple opportunities such as volunteering days to go do some form of charitable work, this is optional for all staff

  • Yes

  • Good opportunities for development during and especially after the program has concluded


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GSK?
  • be yourself, interact wherever possible, never say no to opportunities (within reason). be yourself in the assessment centres
