  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a customer advisor at Halifax branch. I help customers and deal with enquires. I also worked on the counter handling money. I work in a team and make refferals to specialists.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have developed my communications skills, teamwork skills, learnt how to network. I have also develop interview skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning the different acpecs of mployment law and rights. I also enjoyed the personal development aspects of the role. I definetly have developed my skill set from wheni first started the role. I found some of the work books repetitive.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Quite valued. I think working for lloyds does come with great perks. Examples would be colleague offers, bonus, group shares. There is a lot of change affecting jobs however I have not been affected.

  • I think it is structured well. very concise and clear what needs to me done and when.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My trainer was very helpful and if I ever needed anything I could give him a call or email and he would get straight back to me.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Any questions I had my manager was happy to help me with. I was also given time when needed to do my apprenticeship work.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Any expense our covered by work. I don't really have any other costs other then whats is cover by expenses. I would love to earn more.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes there our. I have taken on extra roles such as union rep, hive(networking) advocate. I have also been promoted whilst doing my apprebticeship to Banking Consultant. I think this question should be more specific. Opportunites to do what?

  • Yes

  • Yes, it is a great company. I have had the luck of working with great people and great supprot whilst doing my apprenticeship.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • To be enthusiastic and do your research on the group. To have a good understanding of the role.
