  • The PwC business insight week is spent with a few departments giving a brief view of what working in a professional services firm is like. This included travelling to meet clients and office based work in audit, tax and assurance.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • As members of the insight week we weren't really there to experience this for ourselves but aside from volunteering and language classes that PwC supports it was clear that there is a large social emphasis on working for PwC.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Throughout the week I gained invaluable experience from the firm and acquired skills that many people in the age group don't have yet such as networking which will give you a competitive advantage. You may also find a passion for one of the departments which you didn't know you had until you gained the experience.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Go for it! Make sure you have read up about current business events and know the PwC acumen and what they look for in a person. There are no trick questions - don't be shy and make sure to work well in a team, take leadership or a step back when necessary. Everyone is in the same boat.
