  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Shadowed a different trainee in a different department every day. I was given some tasks to do including research, filing, photocopying and reading through cases. There were also presentations on different aspects of law every morning.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoined it a lot. I learned a lot from the week and it was really good to move around seats, as I was able to talk to a variety of people who gave me valuable insight into law. People were really friendly and there were opportunities to meet other people in the work experience programme.

  • 9. Would you recommend Pinsent Masons to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It was really friendly and informative, and I felt it was really beneficial to me. It was really structured, so you always knew where you were going, and you weren't alone. There was slots of informational about routes into law, and advice about applications, which will most probably prove to be very beneficial in the future. You also moved seat every day, so you got different perspectives, and you got to learn about different areas of law from different perspectives.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons?
  • Make sure you spend enough time on the application. Everyone who got in did, and otherwise it's just wasted time. Make sure you understand something about law, or you'll be really confused all week... You'll need to find out about Pinsent's core values for the application, but make sure you know a bit about how they work, and a bit about law.
