  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently operating in an Audit Trainee role. This means that I am currently learing the different ways of Audit and am continuing to develop. I interact regularly with clients, and am also learning something new every day. I am rarely in the office, with my time spent at client sites. This means that I interact a lot with both internal and external people. Projects range from 1-4 weeks, although there are exceptions to this. My daily tasks vary on the job that I am completing, as well as the size of the audit team. At present, no two days are the same.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is a lot of support provided by my employer. This includes a 'Buddy' when you first join, as well as allocation of an counciling manager. There is also support from the student support team. Despite all of this support, it is encouraged to ask anybody within the firm if you require help and so there is a very good support structure.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary, at present, does cover all relevant costs. However, it does not leave much money to complete social activities. It is understood that the salary is competitive for the role and therefore I do not see this as being an huge issue.
