My day to day job role is as a change analyst - Managing and assesing change requests that are send through to the different domains.
Management skills Timekeeping Communication
Mostly - the day to day job is good, it keeps me on my toes. There's always something to be done. The coursework was manageable and the training was also the same
Slightly - the hard work we do on a day to day basis is recognised by other team members and team leaders but no higher up than that.
Fairly - the coursework and trainign side of the course is very structured with dates outlined from the outset and throughout. The communication internally though is lacking. It takes along time for information to be passed down and most of the time feel left in the dark.
Support from the training company (QA) is great - they're always hapy to help and i'd feel happy to contact them even now that i'm finished the training.
There's a fair amout of support from the team leaders/org managers in day to day jobs. However, within the company there is not a great awareness of the apprenticeship programme and how it works. I believe that at the moment it seems to be a play it by ear approach.
It's a struggle being on such a small salary. The commuting costs alone take up a fair amount of my monthly wage as i have to travel down a toll road to get to work. Currently there has been no wage band been set for when we graduate the program (August).
Not that i'm aware of
Yes
I would recomment to a friend for the great qualifications we get from the training company and the support we get in our day to day jobs from team leaders / collegues however, i would make them aware of the amount they would be paying out each month in their commute to work and how much of their salary that would take up.
I would advise that people get all details in writing.
