  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • After an hour of presentations about the different events that go on in the company, I got paired with a trainee solicitor where I got given the chance to experience what life is like as a solicitor in a commercial firm. Each day of my week, I got the chance to look at a range of different departments.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

    • I have developed communication skills during my work experience because I had to speak to different people. My research skills have also enhanced sue to the tasks given to complete. My presentation skills have also benefited due to showing the trainee what work I have completed.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • I enjoyed this programme very much as although it was tiring, I has given me lots of insight into the world of law and being in a law firm. It has helped me decide what career I would like to do in the future and also what it is like to work in a office environment.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Pinsent Masons?

    • I feel very valued by this law firm. I have been welcomed by all of the staff here and I feel appreciated as the trainees have given up part of their busy schedules. In addition, I also appreciate the amount of time it must of taken to organise the experience and also the presentations made.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • My programme was very structured as on the Monday I was given the full information of what would happen. At no one time during my placement was I given nothing to do. If I would change anything, it would be the time duration of the presentations as they were longer than they needed to be.

    • The trainee staff were amazing. Not only did they give me a wide variety of work to complete, they gave me constructive feedback and they were friendly letting me ask any questions I had.

    • The staff were amazing. Not only did they give me a wide variety of work to complete, they gave me constructive feedback and they were friendly letting me ask any questions I had. I also appreciate the free food provided.

    • Because the business' environment is so friendly and inviting. At not one time did I feel intimidated to ask any questions.

    • To not be nervous because the people there are so friendly and you always get help whenever you need it.
