1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Higher Apprentice in Risk Assurance North team. I will be part of a smaller audit team based on a clients site, interactig with PwC staff as well as client staff on a regular basis. I will have designated certain responcibilities within the team on the variety of projects I work on and each day I will engage with certain aspects of each task.

Yes, I am working towards the CFAB qualification through external training causes as well as developing my auditing skills by attending internal training courses.

I very much enjoy working with the variety of fun and fascinating members of stass. A positive working enviroment is created and I enjoy taking ownership of the tasks I do.

4. How valued do you feel by PwC?

I feel highly valued by PwC as my managers and senior associates will constantly give mw feedback on my performance. As well as this we have an internal rating system which reminds me how my managers appreciate me and value the work I do.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The induction was well organised but the training and actual job implementation could be structured better. The training doesn't really lead intot he work I do and therefore it was challenging to actually start working on a client project.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

Kaplan are often helpful regarding the CFAB qualification as they provide tutors who are able to respond to emails regarding the Proffesional Qualification. Sometimes the tutors have a rushed attitude but most are very helpful.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My people manager is very supportive and often calls/emails to check I am ok. Other managers and more senior members of staff are similat and guide are approachable when I am confronted with issues.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

As I live at home, I do not need a high salary to cover my living costs. Unfortunately I only recieve 11p a mile for petrol as I have a scheeme car, but I feel that this doesn't cover the actual traveling costs.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes. PwC is huge and has many different charity initiatives commencing regularly, as well as group events which are well attended and enjoyed by all.
