Caledonian Engineering Apprentice - Level 6
This is an excellent opportunity to join GE Aviation in the UK on a Modern Apprenticeship Programme within the operations and maintenance organisation. On completion of the programme, successful candidates will have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, gaining an SVQ at SCQF level 6.

Our apprentices follow a three-year training programme, with day release college attendance. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday.
The Modern Apprentice will function under the overall guidance of the Apprentice Coordinator but also on a day-to-day basis be managed by the Team Leader / Supervisor in charge of the department where the Apprentices’ current training is taking place.
For the duration of the Apprenticeship at GE Caledonian, you will gain practical experience, develop theoretical knowledge, whilst obtaining formal qualifications, which are recognised and fully transferrable within the aviation industry.
You will perform multiple aspects of maintenance and repair to the highest quality. Excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to accurately follow work process instructions. You will have a keen sense of achievement and take pride in the work you undertake and produce. The ability to work efficiently within a team is essential.
- Adhere to GE health & safety policy and safe working practices.
- Be highly self-motivated, be able to work in a small team and independently.
- Have good problem-solving abilities, able to think on your feet.
- Have basic PC knowledge of networking and communication.
- Be working to targets and deadlines.
- Be undertaking your qualification on jet engines.
- Be working with your team in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) at SCQF Level 5 Completed by July 2022
Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering Completed by July 2022.

- GE partner with Ayrshire College for training delivery, therefore we would recommend be living in an area commutable to the college
