About the role:
Your job title will be Assortment Apprentice, where you will work closely with all areas of the business to identify, resolve and improve processes within the team. You will own the process improvement end-to-end, from gathering data on problems, root causing, finding a resolution and implementing - this could be with our buying, supply chain, product management or operations teams. You will also represent your area in forums up to the international level to gather subject matter expertise, share learnings and drive improvements. As a key member of the Assortment Team you will have the responsibility to drive real change within the business from Day 1. Additional responsibilities might include: (1) working with offshored teams to implement processes; (2) auditing existing processes; (3) gathering, understanding and presenting data; and (4) providing support to the retail team.
The Assortment Team is known for their knowledge of retail processes and tools, relentless focus on optimisation and ability to work at scale. We are a crucial business function that enables all business teams to reach their full potential. We work closely with tech and offshored teams, We own our processes with a high bar for delivery and we collaborate with all areas of the business.

You’ll gain a whole range of useful experience and skills while working on the Business Administration apprenticeship standard at level 3, including working with diverse business functions, working in a fast paced and new area of the business, exposure to tech teams, developing strong communication skills and learning Excel and SQL.
You will build your skills over the 18 month period - starting in September which will. help you develop personally and professionally across the time on the apprenticeship. You will attend sessions to cover four main areas;
- Classroom based training to cover knowledge,
- On-the-job training,
- Online learning,
- Mentoring from our human resources experts.
Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data analysis and problem solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
What we are looking for
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a keen interest and passion for business understanding and process improvement.
- You can follow a list of guidelines and instructions (verbal or written) to deliver results and meet deadlines.
- You have a can-do attitude as well as being, flexible, adaptable and proactive.
- You can work closely with partner teams to understand root causes.
- You are a hard-working, focused individual who thrives as part of a team but can also work independently when required. Furthermore, you must have a strong desire to learn, develop and grow as an individual in both a personal and professional sense.
- You seek and respond well to feedback.
- You have excellent customer facing skills and think proactively about the customer experience in all interactions.
- You have attention to detail and have good oral and written communication skills.
Candidates should be 18 years or over and have the right to live and work in England. You have a good fundamental understanding of issues related to business administration gained via self-learning or formal experience/ training at/up to level 2. You have ability to think creatively and apply analytical and problem solving skills, driving issues to resolution and strong willingness to learn.

Your recruitment process will start with your online application (providing your CV as well as answering questions about the above basic qualifications) and will then take you onto online testing by one of our recruiters.
As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment center where they will participate in a group exercise, execute a practical exercise and get a chance to present their profile, motivation and skills 1-on-1 during interviews or presentations.

- GCSE grade C/4 and above( or equivalent) in Maths and English
Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some knowledge about content creation for productions and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a degree or higher qualification in business administration or related subject.
These will be a plus for your career at Amazon, but are not necessary to enter the program.
