Quality Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship

Functions and responsibilities associated with the role include:
You'll primarily work within the Biologics sector of AZ which will include all aspects of quality from product development, operations and within the functions of quality control & assurance; building your skill set and portfolio with our coaching and guidance to become a Modern Quality Professional. You will also develop your knowledge and application of Quality Management Systems, Business Processes and LEAN principles as well as have the opportunity to work across the AZ Quality network; including the AZ Macclesfield Site to build oversight of key AZ supply chains..
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your role as a Level 4 Quality Practitioner at CQM.
The A’Level entry apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time college learning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of being part of the team governing the quality control, assurance and release of key medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.
If you feel you fulfil our brief of being driven, determined and hard-working, we will reward you with ‘on the job’ technical skills and training whilst directly funding and supporting you through your Quality Practitioner Role. We will enable you to make the most of your abilities and your passion to help patients whilst fulfilling your personal career aspirations.
Essential skills/capabilities required:
We would be looking for the following attributes from our successful applicants:
- Enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn and with a genuine curiosity for the compliance and controls that govern the safe and effective manufacture of key vaccines, and drugs.
- The drive to develop and apply education gained from the training provider and AZ
- The ability to act independently but also to work and contribute in a team environment
- Good organizational skills with an excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work on multiple tasks and understanding how to prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement as well as working within a lean, efficient Quality Culture
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9-4 including English and Science and Maths at Grade 6.
- Have achieved or are predicted to achieve a minimum of 3 A Levels at grade C or above (minimum 96 UCAS points)
This is a 3 year Fixed Term Contract opportunity based at Speke offering £15,000 starting base salary + 11% benefits fund + bonus.
Successful candidates will be asked to attend a virtual Assessment day on 5th May 2021
