Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship - Great Yarmouth

You will receive training in how to assist with: dealing with customers and guiding them through the progress of their application; speaking with our business partners, and introducers, to develop relationships and also feedback progress to them; photocopying applications and supporting documents to send to lenders and insurers; chasing both lenders and customers for updates, and outstanding items, to ensure mortgage applications are able to progress; processing application forms; liaising with solicitors to progress cases through to completion; inputting data into the MIDAS database regarding the progression of life and mortgage applications; collating mortgage and life reports; chasing general enquiries through to sign-up stage; processing agreements in principle; sending chase-up letters to customers; chasing outstanding commission; completing customer questionnaires over the telephone/sending out customer questionnaires and asking for referral business; following the post completion process; following the Client Servicing Process as set out by MAB; following the lapse process; acting in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and deputising for other members of staff as required by the business.

You will also be trained to ensure that your knowledge and understanding in areas of compliance and regulation is maintained as required - for example: Complaints Handling, Money Laundering Prevention, Data Protection, Breaches and Financial Promotions. Training and testing in all areas of compliance and regulation will be completed as required.

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.

Other than the requirement of some college attendance to support the end point assessment process the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard training programme is primarily delivered in the workplace.

Ideal applicants will possess: strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills; an ability to work to deadlines; excellent people skills; a good telephone manner and an ability to absorb information and follow basic instructions.

You will be a good team player who is: well groomed, friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, adaptable to change, hardworking, honest, reliable and punctual. Above all you will possess a keen willingness to learn and have a strong work ethic.

Desired qualifications

To be considered for this post applicants must have, as a minimum, 4 GCSE’s: with English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or the equivalent) and two other subjects at grade D/3 or above (or the equivalent).

As part of the pre-employment check process, proof of qualifications will be required.

It is intended that - providing you successfully complete your apprenticeship - you will become a permanent member of staff, with realistic opportunities for future career progression.

Things to consider

The nature of the job role dictates that you will be required to spend long periods of time working on a computer while dealing with: work progression, initial enquiries, on-going enquiries and document changes.
