Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship
As a commis chef at Lloyd's kitchen, you will prepare, cook and serve dishes to the highest standards. All our food is locally sourced and handmade from scratch. Therefore, you will be expected to learn and maintain our brand standards to ensure all customers receive the same quality of service.
Between us and Exeter College, we will train, motivate, inspire & teach you in all areas of becoming a chef. Topics will include;
- Food safety
- Stock checks, stock control and waste management
We are looking for someone who grasps tasks quickly and also responds to work in a positive manner. It is also paramount that you are well presented, reliable and flexible.
Training to be provided
Apprentices will be working towards achievement of the following:
- Certification of Commis Chef Apprenticeship standard
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths (where applicable)
- Impeccable time management
- Great communication and listening skills
- Quick to learn
- Well presented
Learners ideally need to have maths and English GCSE at grade C/4 or equivalent.
However, if you do not meet the entry criteria, you may still be considered for this role.
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship, a permanent role may be offered. There may also be an opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Chef de Partie Apprenticeship.
