Financial Planning Training Scheme

This is an opportunity that allows you to spend more time learning in a vocational manner, in our workplace. You will be able to observe the work of all parts of a Financial Planning business whilst progressing your career in the sector.
As a School Leaver, you will form part of the Mazars Financial Planning training scheme. Your time will be split between working on client affairs and undertaking training. You will support the team who work with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients and their families advising them on all aspects of their personal financial planning. We will also assist you in beginning your professional exams and we will agree a schedule that is suitable for you.
Your typical day will vary between:
- Learning the financial planning advice process and developing the technical and soft skills needed to work with clients;
- Attending in-house training;
- Studying towards your professional qualifications.
- Learning all of the back office processes associated with the compliant and commercial operation of a financial planning business
- General Adminstration
We provide you with internal training to assist you with your role as well as providing you with the possibility to explore the various roles within the industry and assist you to develop your skills to a specific part of the business. Your career and progression will be developed around you, at a mutually agreeable pace.

Strong academic performance is important so we know that you’re ready to take your professional exams. However, we understand things don’t always go to plan – so if you don’t meet our minimum requirements, please let us know if you have any exceptional achievements or extenuating circumstances which affected your results.
- On track for a minimum of 112 UCAS points. This is based on the new 2017 UCAS Tariff. You can calculate your UCAS points here.
- Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Maths.
Training & Support
We will fund your study towards the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning qualification.
You will receive a full study package and time off to study. Your professional qualification is only part of the story at Mazars; we support all of our trainees with a blended approach to training and development including; 1:1 coaching, group technical training from internal and external sources and soft skills training.
You will be supported by a mentor and an appraising manager to keep your career and aspirations on track.
