  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • Was great to meet new people, who I still stay in contact with. Would have been better to gain more shadowing experience, rather than just listening to powerpoint presentations.

  • Very well organised and well communicated. Timing of each activity all well planned out.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • The best thing about RSM was learning about the culture. Even on the first day RSM felt especially accommodating, with the ability to talk to anyone, get a drink from the kitchen, dress casually etc.

    9/10

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • I applied for an RSM internship, and was told the work shadowing programme could fast-track me to the next stage. Upon completing the online application, I did not hear any communication from RSM for months, and my emails were not responded to. After a few months, and when offers for assessment centres had likely been out for a while, I was told I was unsuccessful.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSM?
  • Ensure you prepare well for your interview and research the company, as well as being able to demonstrate your own strengths and skills such as teamwork from a part-time job.
