  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves learning the various departments of the AP (accounts payable team) and assisting with the general tasks. Moving from team to team to further my understanding and give me an overview of all aspects involved with getting a service partner paid.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a great deal of skills from using excel to being able to perform statement reconciliations for suppliers. I've also developed exciting skills such as verbal reasoning and communication through the connections I've made with suppliers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme and have developed a lot since I first started and very thankful for the opportunity that Savills provided me. I have recently moved to a new department responsible for creating a project around data analytics which has been interesting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure has been organised well and I have been given all the exposure needed to fully understand all the integral parts.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have recieved as much support as needed to fulfill my role as an apprentice.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I couldn't have possibly received any more support from the training provider and I believe my tutor has given me the absolute best possibility of succeeding.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Being able to work on all the different teams has given me a well rounded understanding of all the accounts processes and the necessity for certain procedures.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are often quizzes that are now being held once a month and various sports teams I can participate in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • There are good opportunities for people who are particularly driven and there is no better example of this than Geoff as he started from the bottom and has been able to work his way up.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Try to the best of your abilities and there will be opportunities for progression especially training.
