I am working on multiple projects looking at all commercial aspects including subcontract payments and management, tendering and procurement, contracts, client variations and financial reporting
I have learnt all of the fundamental skills to be a successful member of the commercial team. This has developed my communication skills in particular.
I enjoy the programme a lot. The block release structure is a far more enjoyable and beneficial method of learning.
We are constantly informed of any changes or key dates in the programme and always feel as if we have enough time to meet assigment and exam deadlines.
My employer attends all of the relevant meetings with the college as and when required. They arrange all of my accommodation with no issues and I have had a beneficial PDR where my development goals were clearly highlighted.
We have regular tripartite reviews with the college to measure our overall progress and performance and I also regularly meet with a KSB assessor to maintain progress with my experience on site.
My KSB assessor is very experienced in the construction industry and is always looking for ways for me to expand my knowledge and experience.
There are professional networking events that you can attend if you are invited to.
