  • I work in the infrastructure team so we deal with a lot of the background operations of the business. Dealing with third party suppliers and making sure all systems are running efficiently

  • I have Learnt a lot about coding, general knowledge about systems and the importance of the infrastructure of a business.

  • I really enjoy it, the team is really good and encourages me to ask questions. I like the format of the apprenticeship and the job is great

  • Apart from some of the irrelevant topics that we learn in uni the format is great

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. I have regular calls set up and regular events set up for our wider early careers group

  • I receive a lot of support from someone who has already completed this course and I am given plenty of time to focus on off the job also

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Our team is very specific so apart from coding the rest of the course doesn’t apply to my job

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, I have joined the 5 a side team every Monday and there are plenty of network events that are set up that I aim to join all

  • Yes

  • It’s great. Great pay, great people, and a lot of opportunities with many of benefits involved


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Not everything is about grades! Get what you need and then focus on extra curricular activities and hobbies and interests also. This will make you stand out more instead of all having good grades
