  • I maintain the Mainframe environment and systems, as well as manage incidents and apply changes.

  • I have learnt how to do coding such as JCL, how to work as a team and navigate the workplace environment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my work more than university, this is due to the environment, as well as enjoying the content and topics of my job role more.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Work is very structured and organised, however university is less organised. We only find out about timetabling last minute, it is structured well but isn’t perfect.

  • Work is very supportive and great!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I would say there is support available but sometimes it’s not always clear what support they can provide. I would prefer to go to work for the support as I’m more comfortable there.

  • I would say first year isn’t super linked to my job role, but in second year and so on once we are on the specific pathway it will be more helpful.

  • Maybe, it depends on when they are on.

  • Yes

  • They are super helpful and a lovely work environment. Everyone is very supportive and it feels like you are the priority.
