  • I am a care assistant. I assisted with personal care. I prompt them to drink enough. i also assist with feeding, i prompt or administer medication depending on their needs. i make beds. empty commode, clean, or sometimes i just have a general chat with them. i write daily notes. i am their shoulder to cry on.

  • i have learnt some more different policies and procedures different ways to do different takes

  • i prefer the physical side of my programme. i dont have lot of confidence with my theory side. which is something i am trying to work on

  • my trainer is very organised and is there for me whenever i have questions

  • i did not receive a lot of support from my employer at the start of my apprenticeship but my trainer was very helpful with making sure i did receive support

  • My trainer is amazing. She helps with a lot of things i dont feel like im understanding. she had taught me so much new things that i did not know in my 8 years of doing care work. i can not fault her one bit. she is very professional
