Studying for CAA A-License modules at the ICAT which involves participating in lessons within the classroom, taking notes and completing exams. And carrying out practical tasks in a sheltered environment in the ICAT hangar.
I have learned many new hand skills since completing practical tasks and also developed my communication skills when in a workshop environment.
I think my programme is one of the best in the industry and so far I have enjoyed all of the experiences I have had since starting the apprenticeship.
The programme is extremely well structured with a developed onboarding process which makes all new employees feel welcome and supported throughout there programme.
There are many forms of support offered to us which cover many common issues with easy methods to report any issues and an overall supportive team to help us with any problems on the course or in personal issues.
we receive as much support as possible from lecturers at the ICAT and they push us to complete work to a high standard and ensure we are engaged in lessons.
The qualifications gained help us understand what tasks we will have to carry out in our on job training and familiarize ourselves with the general processes and skills required throughout our careers.
There are many opportunities to get involved in networking events through the company and chances to participate in things such as careers events and other stem related activities.

The qualifications gained through the course and the opportunities presented to us as employees are unmatched by other providers and the company gives individuals a chance for growth and personal improvement and professional development.
Be polite and respectful to everyone you meet and do not let opportunities go because they may seem intimidating at times. Try and be punctual when it comes to attendance and deadlines.
