  • deputy manager of 50 bed care home. answering phone and emails. dealing with enquiries for bed vacancy. managing staff. managing budget. completing audits, weekly and monthly. speaking with family members about loved ones and professionals such as GP, advocates, social workers and other externals.

  • yes , learning the in-depth business side of running a care home. what's needed to full keep within guidance and governance.as a new deputy manager I am learning everyday.

  • Gives me more in-depth information and knowledge, making me research more for what's needed for the home.

  • very- my TDO is easily contactable and answer any questions at times when convenient, we both understand we both work. she gives me great guidance and feedback.

  • lots. always there to assist and guide me when I need it. no question is a stupid question.

  • lots. she offers feedback and guidance when needed. I can always send a message and she will reply asap.

  • Gives me greater knowledge and understanding of my job role. I am then able to support my manager better.

  • I love my job, i love they have allowed me to get when I am in such a short time. I went from not being in care before, to a deputy manager in 3 years. offering guidance,support and encouragement every step of the way.
