  • Supporting the Service manager anfd support workers to enhance the lives of the people we support. Offering them choice and control over their lives and supporting them to live fulfilling, independent lives through support to access meaningful activities and be part of the wider community

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • since starting this course I have learnt lots of new skills which has encouraged me to try new things and be mindful of the approach that i use. i have learnt a lot about people management and how to apply these skills in a day to day setting

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed working with my triner and have enjoyed the learning. I have learnt lots of new skills that hass contributed to my confidence and ability to further my carrer within the comnpany that i work for

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the course that i was studying was well organised and structured. it was a lot of pressure towards the end with the existing work responsibilities that I had but the flexibility of my trainer was key to making this less stressful

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i received an incredible amount of support from the service manager and senior service manager and felt that they couldn't have done any more to support me with my learning and development. They facilitated me being able to learn so much and exposing me to real situations relevant to the learning that I was getting from realise

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i received a lot of support from my trainer and felt that if things were too much I could approach her and she would suppoirt me through this. I felt that she couldn't have done any more to support me through the course of my learning

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that I have learnt a lot about the role that i am working towards and that has given me the confidence in myself ato show that I am ready and able to do a good job in my next role

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do have extra activities and socialise outside of work and I feel that this is a great opportunity for all staff to get to know each other and adds to the building of the team in a more relaxed environment

  • Yes

  • It is such a supportive environment to work and I enjoy the extra effort they put in to develop staff skills and knowledge


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to United Response?
  • Ask as many questions as syou need to anbd lean on others for support when learning the role. Staff are always willing to help and support youto get to know the role
