  • Coming from a science background I have developed my analytical and communication skills and gained new software, financial, and business skills.

  • I enjoy the variety of the course content, the flexibility of distance learning and the continued support and genuine interest in my development Costain provides.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As the PCPDA is a new programme there have been admin/access adjustments/delays. I have noticed continued improvement in this area throughout year 2 so I believe going forward the structure will be more defined.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Costain provide great support in my personal and professional development. They support me with course content understanding and assessment support, provided a mentor with Level 6 apprenticeship experience and continue to rotate me through different roles to gain a variety of experience to support my KSBs.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The course provider have continued to engage well and provide support and resources when required.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Coming from a science background into a project role was challenging at first, the qualification provided me with a foundation level of project knowledge to help me understand the bigger picture as well as supporting my day to day role showing 'best practice' approaches. The qualification also empowered me to be confident and challenge when appropriate.

  • My Costain team have a good variety of networks and events on throughout the year.
