  • Learn to great deal about child development and the child theorists that established how we approach child development and child care.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My tutor was fabulous in accommodating the course to meet my individual needs. They were patient and considerate when assigning work and always reassured me whenever I felt overwhelmed with the workload. I would highly recommend this style of tutoring as it allowed me to finish my course at my own pace.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Some of the things need to be updated to fit in with the current method of childcare. Certain links used were no longer working or explained methods that are no longer in practice today.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My colleagues were a considerable help though my manager was often unavailable to sign off on paperwork

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Without my training providers support I would not have finish this course. My tutor was patient with me and supported me to meet my individual needs and I am so glad to have had my tutor working with me

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I definitely feel more accomplished and confident when it comes to childcare practice and how I'm able to take on more responsibility in the workplace to ensure a high standard in practice in myself and others

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a staff training day every couple of months which is extremely useful in covering different topics in childcare. However some of the discussions are challenging to face due to the upsetting nature of the topic.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Tiny steps nursery to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The people that work there are kind and supportive and I am lucky to have met and learned from so many. However there is room for improvement with under staffing as it overworks the rest of the team.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tiny steps nursery?
  • Tiny steps is a fantastic nursery that you will learn a lot in. The work is hard but it is made easier by the supportive team you will be working with, it is the best job I've had x
