  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily tasks include admin work on a whole: creating agendas, note taking, booking meetings, etc. My daily interactions internally are mostly via email on Teams calls. My daily interactions externally require for me booking meetings and enquiring about availabilities. My responsibilities include creating agendas and being a timely person.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt a plethora of new skills: from becoming more technically coordinated, to bettering my communications with daily interactions with my co-workers, and admin work on a whole.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme to a large extent as it allows me to learn whilst gaining an experience from a job which enables me to be a hard-working and dedicate team member.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well structured and follows a hierarchal structure which enables work to be organised as it runs smoothly down the chains of the hierarchy. It is easy to know who to go to for help and guidance and communication runs well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my employer: from daily 30 minute catch-ups to weekly one hour 1:1s. I can easily access and gain support/assistance and have the confidence to do so.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive lots of support: from discussions about my career/future and qualifications, to attending meetings with my trainer. I receive an entire day every single week dedicated to my studies.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification enabled me to understand how to work well/better and improve in my relations. It also helps me understand the fundamentals of the organisation that I work in and more improtantly, the why.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are extra-curricular activities at work, from programmes that aid your wellbeing, commincations within the workplace, confidence, etc. We also have away-days offsite as well as parties such as our annual Christmas parties.

  • 9a. Would you recommend NHS DORSET HEALTHCARE to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because working for the NHS is flexible: you are catered to and therefore feel valued. Moreover, there is great career progression from working within this organisation as it is a hierarchal structure, so you work up the hierarchy- which have many benefits.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS DORSET HEALTHCARE?
  • My advice would be to be yourself and ensure you demonstrate this within you job application and interview. The organisation is looking for someone who undoubtedly can carry out the job, but also someone who is dedicated, has motivation and has a personality that shines in the workplace.
