  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a health care professional who mainly advises the public on various health care practices that are aimed at sustain our lives. My day-to-day activities involves making solid decision that govern how things are done within the vicinity and also provide necessary help when it comes to dealing with the people who visits us for assistance. I am responsible for giving solutions and answer questions relating to health.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Working in health i have been able to learn some practices that are of personal importance. I have been able to verify that health is a big issue that requires proper attention. I have learnt to talk to people and be a good listener. I have also learnt to think and give appropriate answers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme involves giving back to the society. To be able to teach and educate the public about important healthcare practice has been a remarkable journey all together. The most enjoyable part is seeing people heed the advice I give them and in turn witness their life changing. It's more than I could ask for.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is structured to help the public learn and know the tricks and principles that if they take into consideration they enjoy. I have programmes that teach school children cleanliness. So we basically touch on every important parts. The ultimate goal of this programme is to teach and put into practice what has been taught.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been supportive. The employer makes sure that the required resources are available and no time are we paralyzed for lack of equipment and personel. The employer also organizes training programmes for people like me. These programmes help me to develop more skills and learn from qualified people who come to tutor me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has put into action various frame works to help me gain more qualifications and in turn be a proper professional in healthcare. The training provider is always readily available and organizes regular meetings that help me whenever need be. The training provider has also given me opportunity to put in place my ideas.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Learning is a process that in time enables one to gain the necessary skills to be able to perform efficiently. I have full confidence in my qualifications and I believe that I have learnt the required skills to be able to perform better. I believe that my skills put me above others.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work we are able to participate in sporting events such as football and basketball. We have regular exchange programmes that bring us together and foster team work among us employees. We also raise funds yearly . These funds are directed towards sponsoring activities such as tree planting and cleaning the streets during weekends.

  • At BMI healthcare one is sure that they get to grow their skills this mean that a greater commitment is required. Here we don't lazy around but we work towards achieving our primary goal that is to provide better healthcare. My advice would be be ready to work and learn.
