  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a busy day the schedule involves inspecging the work environment for the construction to take place. I foresee the construction going on according to the plan. I am always more considerate about plmbing for both water and electricity supply to new buildings. We consider set safety precaution measures according to standards

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed new skills. Exposure to new advanced technological machines in my workplace has helped improve my knowledge on how this field works. I have also.lerant on how to work on plumbing systems for apartments a thing I didn't know before joining tjis company. I have also developed skills in that I am able to interpret a buildings blueprints

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my proggramme very much. This is vecause I get to work on my own from things I see from the provided blueprints. There is workflow as I have a small and hardworking team of mine to carry out the daily activities. I also enjoy my proggrame due to the better working environment that my employer provides

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is a well organised programme. There is proper workflow from the management to the subordinates. There is a level of administration per every working group. Daily reports are submitted to the respective leaders of the departments. The oraganisational structure of this organisation is one of the best with vey capable leaders.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive support from my employer. This is from financial and material support. The management also gives supprt in terms of manpower. They move in new staff for the completion of megaprojecys they are working on. There is also emotional support that is provided by the company's therapist who is paid for the staff support.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support from the provider though it is not up to the extend I've always wanted. They come up in times when I need them by providong advice and support from the trainng provider. My trainer also gives me advice on the type of paper qualification I need to get to be better in this field.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the qualification is not yet up to the level I've always wanted. This is because I am not yet up to the level I've always wanted to be as a senior engineer. This motivates me to work hard in my school, which I plan to go back to, and in my work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have engaged in social activities such as playing for the company's football team. I used to do this before nursing injuries that too sometime to heal. I am also part of the choir where I play the solo guitar. This has helped me better my music skills and to practice more for better.

  • Yes

  • It is a good company with good and friendly staff. The company's profile matches with the great work that they have done with previous clients. It is a well paying iob opportunity. There is also an added advantage as kne gets to learn more about their chosen path of career


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fisher and Wallis Contractors?
  • They should come up with a better resume to improve their chances to be considered up for the application. Develop skills in spreadsheets. This is mainly because most of the data processing is all computerised with all activities being rum by machine. This requires one tobhave skills in computer use and tech
