  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Supporting the surveyors with downloading document from links received from clients which can include builders, developers and architects. Dealing with site inspection requests from clients and passing this on to surveyor and updating systems. Chasing up documents and completion certificates from clients to get items signed off on the system

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt about customer insights and the ways of contacting customers and how they may prefer contact. I have improved my knowledge of the company structure by the research i have completed for the apprenticeship. With the training i do i am able to pass this knowledge on to others.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme. I like the broad range of tasks and that they are really relevant. Currently my role has merged with the customer service department and the skills that i have learnt during the apprenticeship has brought together the skills i am learning during the new training in mh work role

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured i have a call every 3 weeks were we discuss the tasks set and the progress made so far and we discuss things that may have come up from the last set of tasks. And we also do tutorials which are always immersive and relavent and i can bring my new skills to this

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I get alot of support from my employer i get protected time to complete my apprenticeship tasks and they have always been able to set up work shadowing with different departments when needed. Also they a good habitz online portal which has different online training sessions which i am encouraged to us to build on the skills i get on my apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get alot of support, they are always there if i have any problems with the tasks and if i need any guidance of the tasks i am completing. I like the bud system as i can upload information and get feedback and if there is anything i could add to improve my work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • With the training sessions i have during my apprenticeship and with the role merger these are both linked and i feel like these skills are being built on each session and helping me with my day to day role because of the customer based focus on the apprenticeship and this has increased by confidence

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of activities to get involved with from yoga and gym sessions, along with team events amd lunches along with team building events were we can liaise with the surveyor side of the business and build those relationships with members of the team that we may just speak to on the phone or via email

  • 9a. Would you recommend Md insurance to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Good work culture. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of focused one to one training and move to improve and move departments. Training is very broad and is tailored to the individual rather than just being talked at. There are fun activities and competitions during the year pumpkin carving and easter egg hunts


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Md insurance?
  • Research the company look at the culture and the structure of the business as it is always evolving as the industry is very regulated due to the finance aspect. Be prepared for hybrid working this is very flexible with days in the office and days at home. Speak to recruitment agents about the company.
