  • My role is within the mental health team, I complete nursing triages, assessments, medication, MDT meetings, Clinical date.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills when I completed my course, Not only in mental health but in all other areas of nursing such as, adult, children, mother and child.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have completed the programme and gained a pin registration, I somewhat enjoyed the course, If it was online based this would have suited my learning better, Managing work, study and home life balance was fairly difficult.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was well structured but the organisation of the course was not great, we had different tutors a lot of the time and tutors taking annual leave when it was near important exams and handing in of assignments.

  • I received full support, it was brilliant.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had a lot of support from the university, however just after half way through the course it was decided that students could no longer submit draft work which was difficult.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having different experiences through other nursing routes was brilliant, as it gave me a lot more skills and knowledge, this is helpful for me as I may be able to spot early signs of deterioration.

  • Yes.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because the training opportunities offered is brilliant, I am working towards my goals and being supported to do this.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PPG?
  • Focus on the future and what training they would like to enrol onto.
