  • Support clients to accomplish their goals on a daily basis. To make sure the clients are safe and healthy. To advocate on behalf of the clients when required. To make sure the clients are not abused in any form. To show empathy in situations. To be honest, truthful and unbiased.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new skills and also developed existing skills. I have done online courses and also e learning that has widened my knowledge. I have done refresher courses which has improved my existing skills. My skills in communication, listening, caring for people has improved. With the e-learning, I have learnt to do things in various ways by evaluating outcomes of jobs I have undertaken.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Am enjoying the programme. It has enabled me to think out of the box and also to meet other healthcare professionals. The programme has also taught me how to apportion my time to achieve my goals in a timely manner. The programme has also made me realise my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured. There are courses to attend online. The tutor is always available and ready to have a 1 to 1 session when required. There are also available materials online to improve my knowledge on various topics as needed. Time scales are given and this effectively helps to manage my time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive immense support from my employer. I am given the tools to achieve my goals and objectives. I have the opportunity to have a one to one session with my manager on concerns I have with regards to my job and also discuss whether I need more training in some aspect of my job, in other to carry out my job more effectively and efficiently.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive the support required to achieve y goals and objectives. I am provided with the tools I need to achieve the qualifications. I meet with my tutor when required and my tutor is always ready to put me through difficult situations and always ready to discuss on things I can do to improve myself.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualifications has widened my knowledge and skills. It has made me to think through situations before making decisions about situations. It has made to be patient, show more respect and empathy towards others. It has also made think of better and more effective ways of achieving goals. It has also opened my eyes to available opportunities.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a few activities where I work. Football, social meals. Fundraising, charitable and volunteering. Trainings are organised outside of the company, where we interact with other healthcare care professionals and from the network, new skills are learnt. The extra curricular has also taught me the usefulness of working as a team

  • The programme is very useful, because it provides me with the knowledge of being effective at my job. It enables me develop existing skills and also to acquire new skills. It has also taught me how to better interact with people and to show them dignity and respect at all times.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Primcura Healthcare?
  • For them to be up and doing. To be honest, transparent and dedicated to their duties. To do over and above what is required of them. To be punctual and always ready to own up when mistakes are made. Should always be willing to take up challenges and also work as a team
