  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Using data and programming to complete projects that are tracked in JIRA, working daily with stakeholders making sure that I am working to their standard. Currently responsible for a Machine Learning Project that will be started to help predict sales from a dataset

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to code in multiple languages, to a basic standard, Communication with stakeholders 1 on 1 has improved since the start of my apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy the apprenticeships , it is challenging at times with the work given but have a good amount of support to help get through it

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In terms of structure I believe 80/20 is a little tough to keep on track with the University side of the course, We're expected to have a full time job with multiple projects and complete assignments by deadlines

  • I have a great line manager who is super supportive and always willing to lend a hand when needed, There are also a lot of great employees who are specialised who love to share their experiences to help

  • The Learning mentors are really helpful to allow me to get the best support

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some of the training is relevant and really helps when it comes to applying it into work projects where some dont meet my role in Unilever which is expected

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are a load of activities that I can take part in within my team and in the wider teams that I can take part in

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • A great company to work for, they will look after you and give guidance to work to your best ability. Never had an issue when it comes to the employees and can always ask for help.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • Make sure you have a purpose that you are working towards, stride to be better and they'll see the effort you are making. Unilever love passionate employees who are interested in the work they do.
