Maintaining the machines used to package baby milk, the maintenance was planned, unplanned and preventative.
Developed communication skills and welding, problem solving and most effective materials for different tasks.
I enjoyed going to work then going into college to practice the skills. Also, having a mentor and tutor to ask questions when I was unsure.
Mostly very good, I would have liked even more practical skills but understand that I learn in the workshop and the workplace.
I had a great mentor and my managers always supported requests of help. They understood when I had college work to focus on.
Plenty of support available, I had a facilitator who was my first point of contact then individual subject tutors who were great.
I learned most at work but the theory at college helped me understand and ask questions at work.
We have a 6 a-side team that recently started and I play every week and regular social events that I stands.

Supportive employer who understands how to develop skills and apprentices.
Be prepared for working in a warm environment and having to wear a hair net! But, also be prepared for lots of support and regular meetings to ensure you are progressing well.
