My role is to provide basic care to vulnerable adults, helping them out with day to day activists such as helping them wash, get dressed and make food. I provide support for them and ensure they are keeping good wellbeing. I ensure there safety and report any concerns I may have to the safeguarding officer.
I have learned good customer service, allowed my self to gain more confidence in talking to new people and I’ve learn how to work as a team to help provide support. Working in care had really helped with my confidence when meeting new people and it’s gave me more knowledge on how to look after people’s health
I really enjoy my program it allowed me to learn a lot about the different kinds of thinks that contribute the vulnerable peoples health. It allowed me to carry out proper care and make the clients as safe as possible while giving them the best service I possible could of.
The programme is very organised I know where everything is on my account and was give brief instructions on how to use the account. My tutor is available via WhatsApp which allows me to ask questions when ever I feel the need. My tutor was very supportive and provide a lot of help.
I have a lot of support from my employer, I can ask questions when ever I’m stuck and need help if I’m struggling on a certain thing they provide me with training courses to higher my knowledge and they provide the sense of trust so I feel comfortable at work.
I received a lot of support from my trainer. When she introduces new work to me she makes sure to briefly go through it and make sure I have no questions about it before leaving me by myself she is always available to answer any questions and she was a very good tutor.
It gives me a more understanding of how to look after people’s health properly and have to provide duty of care but also the best possible service for my clients. In the holidays we all get together, all works and clients and have a Christmas dinner or a good little chat and catch up. We all really enjoy this as it allows us to speak freely and get to know one another a lot better which makes work a better place

It has really helped me over the last couple of months and widened my knowledge allowing me to be the best possible career I can be. I couldn’t be more grateful and I am happy with where I am in my learning, would definitely recommend.
Try have as much free time as possible to complete work as deadlines can sometimes be overwhelming, try have a open mind then coming to work as it allows you more time to think about what it is you need to do. The more confident you are the more swiftly it’ll go
