  • I am a project manager apprentice, in the transformation delivery team. I attend meetings everyday, involving planning and updating documents. This can include discussions on the project or programme with senior stakeholders.

  • Presentation skills, how to talk to key stakeholders, priorsation skills, and people skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Having respect in the team, especially since everyone is a lot older than me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, only thing is the learning side. But this is an external company that comes in to teach us about project management.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Loads, sometimes too much, we have several people we can go to including our work managers, line manager, mentors amd placement line manager. There is a whole system in place.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Some, but not enough as moving from school 5 days a week to only once a month is not right for me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having that knowledge to use it in the field is quite useful at the beginning, to gauge what the role is all about.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Tons, from volunteering experiences to the team evening and days away, it is a lot of fun, but really good to get to know the team further.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The community for me sold it, everyone is really friendly and welcoming everyday.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • Take the leap, you never know what will happen next. Be confident in your decision to join, you will never turn back and regret it.
