  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    10/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Communication and presentation skills have been developed massively thanks to the support I have received from my team mates and manager. Sage grants you access to LinkedIn learning which is also great for learning new skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed it.

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel the apprenticeship was not structured well from a learning standpoint with the day release learning - For my final exams I learned more myself through online material and working with another apprentice than I did throughout the course. This needs to be changed for future apprentices.

    2/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been great throughout the apprenticeship - Offered support through frequent 121s.

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had a basic understanding, however I feel I would have failed my exams without my own research and knowledge - I ended up passing with a distinction which I was pleased with but having 2 course leaders throughout the apprenticeship both teaching complete different ways was not a good experience.

    4/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the qualification is important too alongside doing the job, but as mentioned it would be a higher star rating if I felt satisfied with the training I received than doing self learning in my own time.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Networking events at LinkedIn and Meta which were very insightful - got the opportunity to travel down to London from Newcastle to support with the Business Show 2022.

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Sage to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because there is a lot of opportunity to grow within Sage, I joined when I was 16 and have been here for 5 years and cannot imagine working at a different company, the benefits are great and they listen to staff feedback and act through Glint surveys quarterly.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Be yourself, do research and be passionate.
