  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a business analyst is to work with the business and technical teams to create requirements and solve business problems. I do walkthroughs on those requirements to ensure all the stakeholders are comfortable and fully understand the issue being addressed. I also do live testing to ensure the solution works correctly when it goes live.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have developed my communication and leadership skills through presentations and group work as well as emails and calls through work. I have learnt theory skills which are outside of my job role but helpful so that I can understand the more technical side of the business problems we solve.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are. I haven’t joined any because I don’t have much spare time, but there are plenty of extra curricular activities to join including sports clubs and ways to get involved in the apprenticeship side of the course. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to get involved.
