  • I am a Project Manager so I organise meetings, manage risk and ensure my projects stay on track for Go-Live or manage stakeholders when things do not go to plan.

  • My confidence has improved, as well as my ability to manage risk and project dependancies and my ability to track and manage deadlines.

  • I love it. I can relate what I learn at work to my uni work.

  • Very well structured. There is a whole team dedicated to looking after apprentices.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager is amazing and understands that I have uni work, as well as work to complete. I am given extra time in work to work through uni things if required.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They provide me with plenty of support and if I am struggling, I can go to them and ask for support. The great thing about this is that there is likely someone within the company who is a specialist in the area I am doing my uni work on.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps with my understanding of some of the other job roles in the company as well my own role in more detail.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are sports clubs and lots of different societies you can join. You can also plan our own events which is a great oppertunity to network.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is an incredible place to work, there are so many opportunities, it is a lovely environment both physically and socially. Lots of support is provided.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Make sure you take your personality into the interview!! Be ready to learn, the work load is tough to manage but will be worth it in the end.
