  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I started out not knowing how to use a printer or any microsoft office packages. I was able to learn from experienced individuals and gain a fantastic bank of knowledge and experience throughout my time as an apprentice

  • It was great and was well suited for the job role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was structured very well, I had a detailed training plan which told me what areas I would be studying throughout the programme. I also had input into this training plan and could swap the subjects round if I needed to know something earlier that was relevant to my work

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was highly supportive and provided me with plenty of opportunities to grow my skills, knowledge and behaviour. My employer also encouraged me to say yes to opportunities that I was nervous about and would have originally turned down due to low confidence. This helped build my confidence.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received regular visits from my training provider. I also received helpful feedback on my assignments and they were always very quick in responding when I had queries or questions about my assignments.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification had a huge impact on my career as it helped me learn the basics of business. It helped me expand my knowledge in all areas such as stakeholders, project management, record and documents production, event planning etc.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • My employer offers a staff social group that organises staff events throughout the year. There are also forums and groups that I can join such as women's/men's network, LGBT forum etc. We also have multiple staff development days throughout the year.

  • Yes

  • It is a fantastic place to work, the staff are lovely and always willing to help.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bedford College?
  • Don't be nervous for the interview, just be yourself. Do plenty of research on the college and the job role you are applying for.
