On a day to day i assist the front office with things like static requests background searches on existing client and potential prospects. As well as this i assist in remediation projects for accounts opened in covid which now need to be archived these are all sensitive processes which that must follow set methods
Yes since Joining, i have developed my communication skills time-management and my intrapersonal skills These have been developed over the course of my apprenticeship as it really helps when working in a team. I have learnt how to excel in relationship management as throughout my job it is always about maintaining expectations and making sure everyone is kept up to date and happy.
As a whole i really enjoy the programme it is a a very good experience and will help develop my career. Overall the Culture at UBS is very welcoming therefore it motivates me to want to come in to work. On top of this the programme has a very strong education base which is very informative and aides my role
The ubs degree apprenticeship programme is very well organised and has a clear structure. There is a clear end goal with regular check ups with mentor to track progress. Overall it is very well structured with time allocated to study and work. On top of this there is a very good support system to help
During the apprenticeship there is a very strong support structure in place this is set to help with studying work mental health and just in general with any issues. Managers are very open to talk and assist where possible regarding any issue. As a whole UBS has a big focus on mental health and general wellness
UBS assign apprentices one study day during the working week. They are very strict on this and apprentices should be taking their study day to study and should not be working on this day. As well as this before exams managers also grant study days for apprentice. UBS regularly liaise with our training provider and support progress
Overall the qualifications are very relevant tour roles it helps us understand different financial instruments. However it also will help in the future when we want to progress in our career. This helps us be more aware in our Job and keep us informed to better understand what we are doing
In UBS there are a wide range of networks and each network regularly hold networking events as well as there is there are multiple sports team and regular opportunities to volunteer for different causes. Overall there is a good range of extra-curricular activities to take apart in and is encouraged by the business to join

UBS is an excellent place to work the culture and the people is very welcoming. As well as this the apprenticeship programme is very beneficial and structured very well it entails a range of useful and relevant qualifications which will help you thrive in the financial world globally. This is a once in lifetime opportunity and would definitely recommend.
I would advise those who are applying to really read the Job description and see if it is suitable to them as it is a very fast-paced dynamic environment. As well as this research what the industry is and what you are signing up for. Also i will advise to have good questions ready to ask
