  • I work with the research and finance teams to provide support to the department including:  Research Grant Applications and Pre- and post-award management  Research Facilitation and REF coordination  Transactional processing including purchasing and staff expenses  Communication of finance matters within and outside the department  Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

  • Strategic planning and forecasting and responding to changes in the research environment and Divisional and University strategy. Change management: Leading a team through a period of change and disruption

  • Extremely valuable concepts and tools that I will use throughout my career.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Programme is well structured. The university continually asks for feedback to improve courses but we are not informed to what extent feedback is implemented

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support has been excellent and I have been given the opportunity to really engage with the programme and apply concepts I have learned.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support has been excellent from the MBA Admin team. Support on other aspects have been a little sporadic.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has helped me perform better in all aspects of my role and it will continue to help me in years to come. I have been promoted during my training course.

  • I do not engage in any extracurricular activities at the moment due to work and study taking up most of my time, but I am planning to once study is completed

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Excellent place to work and I feel fortunate to be able to complete my studies in a nurturing and supportive environment. My manager and mentor has been excellent throughout.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to University of Oxford?
  • Do not hesitate to apply. Apprenticeship scheme and support from the University is excellent.
