  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Converting various types of data in to graphs and charts to make it easier for the managers to understand and make decisions based on those. Making sure we are compliant with GDPR and various other regulations in everything we do. Creating web forms that are used by operatives to report on accidents and compliance. Keeping track of various statistics throughout the year

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have improved my skills in understanding and writing visual basic code and got better at making clearer spreadsheets. I have learnt how to use R Studio and Power BI. I have also improved communication and presentation skills.

  • It is work at the end of the day so I don't exactly love it but I don't despair at the thought of doing the work

  • Very well structured, everything is clearly set out from the beginning and followed pretty closely

  • The employer gives me all the support I need, though sometimes maybe a bit slow to give certain permissions which is understandable

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Training provider also gives all the support I needed. I am assigned an Instructor and Progress Coordinator and overall they cover everything pretty well

  • It helps a lot as the skills I have learnt, I am currently using to create new sheets and dashboards for the council

  • No I have not been involved in any of them so can't comment

  • Yes

  • Very friendly working environment and flexible hours with the ability to work at home makes things a lot less stressful than you'd expect

  • Don't be afraid to give it a go
