  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I rarely have daily tasks, most of the work I complete is project based surrounding the needs of the business and my team. I do complete some monthly tasks that include making sure the business is doing what is set out in the policies.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have completely advanced my excel skills. I have also learnt key skills in team work and collaboration. Apprenticeships are really good for progressing your on the job skills whilst also being young, as you have the exposure to be able to do this.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. The study alongside the work makes the content much easier to understand and learn as a lot of it you use in tasks you complete at work.

  • My programme is very well organised. I haven't experienced anything to show me this won't continue.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive loads of support from my employer. Especially my team and line manager are really good in helping me succeed with my university work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive good support from my training provider. The support I receive is more focused on individual study, but it is more than enough to help you pass exams.

  • The qualifications hugely help me perform better in my role as it helps me understand certain areas, words and theories that make my job role a lot clearer to me.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are plenty of professional networking opportunities to get involved with or sign up to our networks in the UK. I have also got involved with some 5-a-side football that us as an apprentice cohort have organised.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • UBS is a great place to work. The support and guidance received with work and professional qualifications is amazing. This alongside the working environment at UBS makes it a superb place to work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
  • Know the business. You will come across so much better to UBS if you know there business inside out.
