1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The roles within the scheme are excellent, rotating across different parts of the business and getting to experience many areas within HR. You get a fantastic overview of how HR operates in a large company and it's importance to the success of a large, global business.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skills have grown exceptionally. People skills, to understanding my own personal development, bp strives to ensure upskilling on an individual basis.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The early careers community is outstanding, from the leadership to my peers. Everyone values apprentices and what we offer the business.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

As apprenticeships are new, and we have an increasing amount of early careers, the structure is constantly evolving. My only improvement would be the rotation process, it could be easier to communicate our preferences.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support on absolutely anything, both personal or work based.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The quality of teaching at the university is unfortunately quite disappointing. Although, their study support is outstanding and the student experience package is good.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

95% of what I learn comes from being on the job. However, there is plenty of backup support from the degree to understand how things that work in practice were developed.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, many social events organised by the early careers and other extra-curricular based activities.

It is an incredible experience to work for such a company. No matter who you see, speak to or when you join, everyone will be incredibly welcoming.

Be concise in your application, but also knowledgeable of bp and our aims.
